Boroughmuir Cricket Club, Edinburgh

- WINTER NETS start on Sunday, 11 Jan 09 at the Edinburgh Academy. All are welcome.       click here for details and here for directions.
- The 2008 season ended with the 1s being promoted to Div 1 next year, and the 2s       going down to Div 6
- We played on the new wicket at Meggetland for the first time in a friendly against       Morton CC. Have a look here.

The 2008 season came to an end and, despite the weather, both teams managed to see some action, albeit with markedly different results. The 1s were runners-up in division 2 and earned themselves a promotion back to Dvision 1 (from which we came down 3 years ago). The 2s however ended the season at exactly the opposite end of the table and will be playing Division 6 cricket next year.

The next season will start cranking into gear early in the New Year, when we get together for winter nets every Sunday from 2-4 pm starting 11 January, 2009. These are held indoors at the Edinburgh Academy. We are always on the lookout for fresh talent - of all varieties, to boost our ranks, so if you're interested, why not bookmark this page and set your alarm for 2pm on Sunday, 11th January.

Property developers moved into Meggetland, where we play our matches, at the end of the 2004 season and embarked on a project which has resulted in the building of a plot of homes, a new all weather pitch for hockey and football a complete upgrade of the rugby ground, new football pitches an excellent clubhouse facility and a brand new cricket pitch. Since then, we have used the excellent and picturesque facilities at Craiglockhart. We are however, happy to announce that our period of exile is now over, and we are pleased to announce that we will once more be playing our matches at Meggetland from next year.
